Day 1 ... which ran into Day 2:

ATLANTA, GA:
We boarded the Airplane - DL 12 Boeing 767-400 (seats 33 F and G) at 4:45pm EDT. As we taxied on the runway, a local thunderstorm delayed us for 20 minutes. We started right up, delayed again on the runway for another thunderstorm. Yikes, the lightening! We took off an hour late.

Actually a delightful flight: dinner, drinks, rest, snacks, sleep, breakfast:

Land below - the skies over London countryside:

We arrived in London's Gatwick airport at 7:20am local time and took transportation to our Hotel: The Radisson Edwardian Grafton for three nights.
.
Since it was too early to check into the Hotel, we left our baggage and walked a few blocks to have Brunch at an eatery called Cilantro's. Yum.
(NO blood sausage for me, though.)
.
We began an initial tour of the area on foot then boarded a local tour bus:

We spent most of that first day touring the general sights.
.
That night we ate dinner in the Hotel at 7:00pm (1:00pm Pensacola time), took our time and retired to our room by 8:30pm. Exhausted.
