Peope Benedict XVI ended his two week vacation in the Alps yesterday and returned to his summer home last night which is outside the city of Rome. The residence is in the town of Castel Gandolfo. It's a unique place and I had the priviledge of visiting there in the 1980's to see Pope John Paul II.Our Pope has been working on a new book, the title of which (and the content as well) has not been disclosed. His writings are brilliant and worth reading. They're not what you might call "beach reading" but rather are serious treatments of Catholic issues. If you get a chance you should do yourself a favor and purchase one of his latest works. "Jesus of Nazareth" and "The Apostles" are both excellent. (I would suggest using Amazon.com for great prices on books.)
