The 23rd Sunday in Ordinary Time

None of us serves as God's counsel, yet through wisdom, witness and the teachings of God's own Son, divine plans are revealed to us.

> When have you felt the most unsure of the next best step?

> Who are the people in your life who, through example and some urging, help you to do the right thing?
.
.

> What relationships - to people or things - prevent you from putting Jesus Christ first?

>How could you shore up the foundation of your faith?

.
.
.

Monday is Labor Day ....... its a great day to relax and enjoy a day off ...
but .........

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> In these uneasy and uncertain days, we remember that the Church constantly teaches the rights of people to decent and productive work, fair wages, private property, economic initiative, and the freedom to organize.
.
As Pope John Paul II wrote in his 1982 encyclical letter (Laborem Exercens): "The Church considers it her task always to call attention to the dignity and rights of those who work, to condemn situations in which that dignity and those rights are violated, and to help to guide those changes so as to ensure authentic progress by man and society."
.
> What are the fruits of your labor?

> Think of the jobs you've had in your life ... what determined the best and worst?

> Whose labor do you take most for granted?
.
.
.
