What of the Fig Tree?In our Gospel today, Jesus is concerned - not about a fig tree - but people. He wants us to bear fruit!
It might be helpful for us today to reflect on the ways in which we fulfill His desire for our lives:
How do I bear witness to my belief and full trust in Jesus Christ?
What is my prayer?

What are my good works?
do I participate in a soup kitchen?
food and clothing drives?
visiting the sick?
giving good counsel?
comforting the grieving?
supporting the work of evengelization?

Do I sacrifice for others?
Do I live: courage? justice? mercy? (at home and at work?)

Jesus the Gardner knows that what you and I pay attention to - grows.
