The Fourth Sunday in Ordinary Time

"To believe in the relevance of God is to believe in the presence of prophets among us who show the relevance of His word. To believe in the faithfulness of God and in His Church is to believe that He will not let it fall asleep, be overwhelmed, lose its vigor and the dynamism of its hope"
Jesus-MariaAsurmendi

His word reminds us that we all go through periods in our lives when we wonder about our life choices. There are times when we need to change course or follow a dream in a different direction. We need God's help then. Other times we remain content with who we are. God is with us then, too.

The worst scenario, of course, is when we feel trapped with no way out. That's when we really need God. And we need each other, too. We need the community of the Church to help us to make the right choices on our life's journey. We must speak for one another with the same courageous authority with which Jesus speaks in our Scripture today.
